Jeanne Skog is the co-founder and principal of Skog Rasmussen LLC. Skog Rasmussen works with new and existing businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits organizations to design community-based solutions to achieve their objectives, including community outreach and engagement.
Prior to Skog Rasmussen, Jeanne was the President & CEO of the Maui Economic Development Board (MEDB). Jeanne joined MEDB in 1984 and in 1999 was elected as MEDB’s fourth President & CEO, the first Maui-born resident to assume the position. Over her 33-year span at MEDB, she worked to fulfill its mission of diversifying Maui County’s economic base through technology-based activities and broad-based community outreach and engagement.
She has served on the Commission on Presidential Scholars, an appointment by President Obama. She currently chairs the boards of directors of St. Anthony School and the Economic Development Alliance of Hawaii and serves on the boards of the Ka Ipu Kukui young leaders’ program and the Hawai‘i Budget and Policy Center. Jeanne grew up on a 150-acre pineapple farm in Peahi, Maui which set a deep appreciation for the values and benefits of a rural environment and the richness of ethnic diversity.
